Paul is a producer and mixing engineer based out of Portland, Oregon. He is known for his extensive work with the American rock band Typhoon. Currently Paul is booking projects for 2017.
"Paul's skills as a musician shine through in the recording process. Instead of just sticking to technical aspects, he is able to bring vibe to a recording which could otherwise feel sterile. And I never think twice about letting him take more of a producer role in the studio!"
-Ben Darwish - Pianist / Morning Ritual, Mike Posner Band
"Working with Paul is always a great experience. He is one of the best mix engineers and producers anywhere. His mixes are always superb and provide the foundation for outstanding masters. It’s rare to find someone who is both a gifted musical collaborator and a mix engineer with keen technical acumen, but that’s Paul Laxer for you."
-Adam Gonsalves - Mastering Engineer / Telegraph Mastering
"Paul Laxer is the consummate recording engineer. He has both an expert understanding of the technical side and a producer's ear for style and arrangement. We don't record with anyone else."
-Kyle Morton - Songwriter / Typhoon
"Working with Paul has always been a great experience. What he brings to the table every time is creativity, positivity, patience and astounding support, to name a few of his qualities. For me the most important quality in Paul is the trust factor. I know when I give him our music he makes it better and I love him for that."
-Jose' Medeles - 1939 Ensemble / Revival Drum Shop
"Bringing Paul on board as the producer for our full length album was a unanimous decision for our crew. We had worked with him previously as our sound engineer for our EP and were impressed with the scope of his knowledge. What drew us in completely was his effortless ability to juggle the passions, concerns, and stresses of a room full of picky artistic types all while utilizing our time (and money) efficiently. When we began production on our record, Paul's sensibilities shone. He is an insanely skilled sound engineer and knows when to make suggestions, when to just listen, and when to interject with a strong opinion. He is genuine, talented, and a blast to work with. And his dogs are great too."
-Sarah Clarke - Singer / Dirty Revival
